On Friday the winners of the international student workshop Bytes of Banking were announced. At the closing ceremony that took place on the premises of BTC City, the silver partner of the event, State Secretary of Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, Tomaz Boh, PhD., Chief Executive Officer of Halcom, Marko Valjavec, Executive Director of BTC, Miha Zupanc and the president of EESTEC LC Ljubljana, Leon Štefanič Južnič adressed the aspiring participants of the workshop from 9 different countries.
Between July 15 and 22, an international workshop for students, called Bytes of Banking: S.I.C.K, Sharing Ideas Creating Knowledge, was organized by Halcom in cooperation with EESTEC LC Ljubljana and the Management group association with support of partners; BTC, IEDC, Zavarovalnica Triglav, Lenovo, Plastika Skaza, AmCham Slovenia, Faculty of electrotechics, Faculty of computer science and The Laboratory for telecommunication. The selected 24 students from 9 different countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Finland, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia) searched for innovative solutions that connect loyalty programs with the mobile platform Hal mBills.
The winner of this years workshop is team BTGreen with team members from Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. The winning solution invites and motivates BTC City's visitors to act green while visiting the shopping city.
