Ljubljana, Slovenia: Halcom CA, a qualified trust service provider (eIDAS certified), will start issuing new qualified certificates for qualified electronic signatures, electronic seals, time stamps and website authentications in Slovenia. The eIDAS regulation lays the groundwork for easier and more reliable use of digital services and is an important milestone on the way to a uniform, more user-friendly, and secure digital market. One of the objectives of the Regulation is to increase user trust. In order to achieve this goal, it is vital to ensure the implementation of stringent quality standards, which is at the core of Halcom CA’s commitment.
Halcom CA in Slovenia, a provider of qualified trust services, has acted in accordance with the provisions of the eIDAs regulation in undergoing an external compliance audit performed by Bureau Veritas, and submitted a conformity assessment report to its competent supervision authority, the Directorate for Information Society. In line with its new policies concerning qualified electronic signatures, qualified electronic stamps, qualified electronic time stamps and website authentication, Halcom CA will start issuing these certificates on 3 July 2017.
What is new?
In compliance with the eIDAS regulation, international IETF RFC recommendations, and ETSI standards, Halcom CA has created the following new certificates:

- Halcom CA PO e-signature 1
- Halcom CA FO e-signature 1
- Halcom CA PO e-seal 1
- Halcom CA TSA 1
- Halcom CA web 1
What does this mean for the providers of electronic services and information systems?
Providers of electronic services and information systems need to define the Certificate Authority Hierarchy (Halcom CA PO e-signature 1, Halcom CA FO e-signature 1 and Halcom CA PO e-seal). What do these novelties bring to digital certificate users?
Users of new qualified digital certificates require Hal E-Bank, generation 20 or higher. You can upgrade your existing digital banking solution at spletnem mestu za prevzem programske opreme. Qualified digital certificates issued before 1 July 2017 will remain valid until their expiry date.
